The darts checkout chart.
Every finish from 2 up to the 170 "big fish", with the standard route for each one. There are 162 valid checkouts with three darts, the rest are marked impossible below. Grouped into low, mid, ton, heavy and maximum ranges so you can find your score fast.

How to read the chart
Each tile shows the score you're left on and the standard three-dart route to check it out, biggest scoring dart first. "T" is treble, "D" is double, "BULL" is bullseye (50), "SB" is single bull (25) and a plain number is a single. Scores marked impossible can't be finished in three darts no matter the combination, so plan to leave yourself elsewhere.
Low outs2 to 40
Mid-range41 to 80
Ton-range81 to 120
Heavy outs121 to 150

Common questions
What is the highest checkout in darts?
170, nicknamed the "big fish". It's checked out with T20, T20, then bullseye, the maximum possible three-dart finish.
Which scores are impossible to check out in three darts?
159, 162, 163, 165, 166, 168 and 169. No combination of three darts adds up to these totals while also leaving a finishing double, so if you're on one of these, aim to leave yourself elsewhere first.
Do I have to finish on a double?
In standard darts rules, yes. Your final scoring dart of a leg has to land on a double (or bullseye, which counts as D25) or the visit doesn't count. This chart shows the standard double-out routes. See the darts stats guide for more on averages, checkout percentage and other numbers worth tracking.
